Course Summary

This one-day course addresses the basic elements involved in exploration and production activities for hydrocarbon - petroleum, natural gas and coal. It starts with the origin of hydrocarbon resources, and addresses the formation process, exploration activities and production activities. The course reviews economic and quality issues that impact price and mid-stream/down-stream considerations in search of value at the end of the exploration/production chain.

Who Should Attend?

This course will be of interest and benefit to a wide audience, ranging from new or newly assigned staff in the crude oil, products, natural gas, coal and power production, supply and trading, manufacturing and transportation/transmission areas. This course also provides useful information for marketing staff, and those assigned to the mid office and back office areas involving accounting, legal, tax, audit and computer technology.
