Course Summary
Delegates attending this course will learn the fundamentals of coal supply, quality issues, and the important role of blending and trading in the coal industry. The new coal futures contract and potential hedging applications will be discussed. Carbon emissions factors and related emissions trading activities will also be addressed.

Utility companies, coal producers and companies engaged in coal trading and marketing activities will find this course to be useful introductory training for staff and management personnel. Class delegates can include those new to or recently assigned to producing, supply, transportation and trading positions and the related key support functions of accounting, logistics, credit and contracts.
